This coming week is one of the first in a while that all three of us will be home in Houston, after my week-long trip to see my sister and extended family in London, separate week in the Netherlands for work, plus some one or two-day business trips for Maureen. Evan has been taking it all in stride, loving the one-on-one time he gets with each of us, and probably really digging the fun things we do when we're all in town together.
It's starting to get hot in Houston, and the sun is out strong, so a stroll in the park normally starts with a stop at Starbucks for iced coffee and air conditioning. More times than not, that stroll in the park will end up looking like this shot, where the heat puts Evan to sleep quicker than a bottle and a lullaby.
Evan now eats oatmeal, squash, peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, applesauce, blueberries, bananas, peaches, pears and chicken. He's taking each spoonful great as long as he's hungry enough, and he isn't eating cold chicken & peas blended into a paste. (Yuck! Who would??)
We just had another makeshift photo shoot today, mostly because Evan has started to stay sitting up by himself - in short stints, but at least long enough to get a bunch of descent pictures. Given enough pillows he can even prop himself back up after falling over.
