Some programing notes

This isn't the only place to see what's going on with Evan, but it can be your first stop. Here's the rundown of the other places we update:

Picasa (http://picasaweb.google.com/mo.gerty): Google runs this photo sharing website, and Maureen updates it every month with 10-20 pictures of Evan growing up (This one is my favorite). You can always get to this site from the black and white picture of Mom and Dad on the left.

Flickr (http://flickr.com/gertys): This site will have pictures of not only Evan, but he does seem to dominate the collection. I add a couple of shots here about every week, of things from the International Space Station flying over our house, to shots from our travels, to Evan's many expressions and interactions with stuffed animals. You can always get to this site by clicking the pic of me in a wool hat and Mo in sunglasses at the bottom of the blue box full of pictures on the left.

Facebook (http://facebook.com): Maureen and Chris both have facebook accounts, and if you're our "friend" you can see what we're up to. Usually it's Evan-related adventures.

Twitter (http://twitter.com/gerty): I hesitate to list this one since it's mostly my space-related banter, but if you happen to be "one who tweets" and wish to follow me, feel free!

E-mail updates: We've had some requests to start an e-mail update feature. So, on the left side of this page above our picture is a text box where you can enter your e-mail address. It will send you a confirmation e-mail and then you will receive a notification every time we update the page.

Finally, we may consolidate this page so it only shows the last 5 posts, or the last month's posts. This way it will take less time to load if you're checking it out on your new iPhone or Blackberry. Don't worry... you can always see older posts by expanding the archives on the left sidebar.

That's it for the programming notes. We now (or very soon - like Tuesday?) return you to an Evan-news-packed program. Here's a hint: it's difficult to take pictures of the inside of his mouth!
