We just got back from the doctor's and saw the flutter of a heartbeat! With that we confirm that only one baby is on the way, things are progressing as they should, and our due date is officially 12/17/08. We're starting to wonder how to tell everyone, and this blog will help when the word starts to spread. It really is a struggle right now since we want to tell everyone we know, but we've decided to wait for a few weeks more before letting the news spread on its own. But we'll still blog our thoughts here so everyone can catch up when the news (and the website) goes public.We'll also be using a program called Skype to keep in touch with family far away (for free), so if you have a Skype account, look us up at the username "gertyhome". Skype has live video too so we can see each other as our family "grows"! Speaking of growing, on the right is our first ultrasound - 6mm from head to toe at the moment!
